You are the marketing department, and you do not know what is broken
You are the whole marketing department
You are the founder, which also makes you the content lead, the SEO person, the person who updates the homepage, and the person answering inbound email late. None of that is the work you set out to do. It is what accumulates around a company with no marketing function yet.
The agency quote is a guess, not a diagnosis
The usual answer is an agency, on a retainer agreed before anyone has told you whether your site converts or whether your category terms are reachable. That is a large commitment to spend guessing which problem you have.
Start with what is actually broken
The free public-site audit is the part to start with, and for a founder it is close to the whole product. Enter your domain and Spryxa reads the site across 23 analysis types covering conversion, search, AI-answer visibility, usability and market context.
That includes all 10 Nielsen usability heuristics, each scored separately. 13 technical SEO checks, each with a severity and the evidence behind it. Core Web Vitals against Google's thresholds: LCP at 2.5 seconds or less, INP at 200 milliseconds or less, CLS at 0.1 or less. And an accessibility score from 0 to 100 from automated axe-core checks, which is a useful signal and not a full WCAG compliance review.
You come out with a written list of what is wrong instead of a hunch.
One or two outcomes, not a retainer
Growth is $127 a month, or $105 a month billed yearly. It runs two outcomes at a time on standard cadence, with 2,500 credits a month, 25 tracked prompts, 3 seats and 1 project. An outcome is a goal running at a time, not a bundle of posts. Credits are a separate allowance and action costs vary, so nobody is promising you a fixed number of deliverables.
Two is the right number for a founder. One for whatever the audit says is most expensive, one for the thing you already believe in.
You are the approver
Every agent follows written permission rules across five tiers: read, propose, stage, execute and destructive. By default, publishing, sending, spending, merging code and changing a lead record all wait for you in one approval queue. Research and internal reporting run on their own and are logged, so you can see what happened without signing off on every look.
An agent that publishes unsupervised is not something a pre-revenue founder should want. You keep the approval because you answer for the positioning. Month to month, no minimum term, cancel from billing, and both plans include the full agent catalog. You are not paying more for agents, you are buying capacity.
Where this is the wrong purchase
If you already have a marketing team running, you do not have this problem and should not buy this. If you need a fixed package of posts per month, an outcome is not that. And if the plan is to have the site rewritten without reading the audit first, this will be an expensive way to do it.
Run the free audit on your own domain and read what it says before you decide anything else.
